Hilda Mendoza

Hilda Mendoza joined Akin Law P.A. as a legal assistant and receptionist after years of working in customer service, financial services, tax preparation and tax accounting. Although Hilda was born in Mexico, she moved to DeLand when she was four years old. She proudly considers herself a Florida native.

Hilda graduated from DeLand High School in 2004. In 2011, she graduated from Southern Technical College with an associate degree. Hilda has held Customer Service Representative positions at several firms. For over ten years, she worked at a small tax and accounting firm. She started there as a Customer Service Representative and eventually rose to be a tax accountant. 

As an intake specialist, Hilda applies her polished customer service skills, tax accounting experience, and financial knowledge to assist Akin Law P.A.’s clients. Additionally, with fluency in English and Spanish, she works with Spanish–speaking clients to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.

Hilda is a wife and a mother to two boys. In her off time, she enjoys spending time with her children and family. She relishes visiting new places and meeting new people. She also enjoys gardening, reading the bible and decorating.
